Biography

Axis is a half spanish-japanese psychologist (Graduated in University of Balearic Islands in 2020 in Psychology of Health) and shaman fully committed to the path of impeccability. His life totally changed at age fourteen when he first had an experience with Ayahuasca in a desperate quest to heal from an extremely difficult existential and spiritual sickness. For his entire childhood, he was tormented by ceaseless and destructive negative thoughts and emotions, with a false and mistaken identity that seriously affected all aspects of his life.

Years of intensive personal work were needed to transform this nightmare into his biggest strength, he started to embody it and he now regards that painful period with gratitude, as it propelled him onto an extraordinary and empowering journey beyond all expectations.

What sets his work and training apart is the balanced synthesis between scientific comprehension and shamanic practice:

Science

  • The neuropsychological and cognitive effects of Ayahuasca.
  • Ayahuasca’s influence on emotional intelligence and interpersonal communication.
  • His thesis on: treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) through ayahuasca-assisted therapy.

Including an Ibogaine Rehab for the worst cases of addiction, and an Ayahuasca center with only modern therapies. In these settings, by coworking and learning with his colleagues doctors, psychiatrists, nurses and psychotherapists, he could become fully prepared to create the safest environments for these practices.

The International Center for Ethnobotanical Education, Research, and Service (ICEERS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming society’s relationship with Traditional Indigenous Medicines. ICEERS collaborates with facilitators, guides, doctors, psychologists, and researchers in order to offer a practical, accessible course that distills essential scientific knowledge, best practices from harm reduction, and professional tools, to enhance the safety, ethics, and professionalism in ceremonial plant work outside of tradicional contexts.
